MLB All-Star Game Prediction

Written by: LaMarr Fields

On Thursday, the MLB All-Star Game Starter was announced. The All-Star Game will take place on Thursday, July 13, in Colorado, at Coors Field. Here are your 2021 All-Star Game starters.

American League All-Star starters

C - Salvador Perez, Kansas City Royals

1B - Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Toronto Blue Jays

2B - Marcus Semien, Toronto Blue Jays

SS - Xander Bogaerts, Boston Red Sox

3B - Rafael Devers, Boston Red Sox

OF - Teoscar Hernandez, Toronto Blue Jays

OF - Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angels

OF - Aaron Judge, New York Yankees

DH - Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Angels

AL Players to Watch:

1B - Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Toronto Blue Jays

Guerrero is the youngest player ever to lead the MLB All-Star voting, and he is second in the Major League with 27 home runs. The first baseman is also batting .334 and has driven in 67 runs. Guerrero is one of the most exciting players in baseball.

DH - Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Angels

Ohtani leads the Major League in home runs with 30, and he also has 3.60 ERA in 60 innings. The dual-threat also has stuck out 83 strikeouts. So when Ohtani plays, he is a must-see player on television. Ohtani is also participating in the home run derby.

3B - Rafael Devers, Boston Red Sox

Devers is a first-time All-Star, and he leads the Major League in RBIs with 70. The third baseman also has 20 home runs on the season. Devers has been a big surprise for the first-place Red Sox.

National League All-Star starters

C - Buster Posey, San Francisco Giants

1B - Freddie Freeman, Atlanta Braves

2B - Adam Frazier, Pittsburgh Pirates

SS - Fernando Tatis Jr., San Diego Padres

3B - Nolan Arenado, St. Louis Cardinals

OF - Ronald Acuna Jr., Atlanta Braves

OF - Jesse Winker, Cincinnati Reds

OF - Nick Castellanos, Cincinnati Reds

NL Players to Watch:

SS - Fernando Tatis Jr., San Diego Padres

Tatis will make his first All-Star team while being the National League-leading vote-getter. Tatis has 26 home runs and is second in the majors in slugging percentage (.702). The Shortstop is another that is a must-see player on television. Tatis brings a lot of fun to the game of baseball.

C - Buster Posey, San Francisco Giants

After opting out of the baseball season last year, Posey has come back with a vengeance. Posey is batting .333 with 12 home runs and looks like the catcher who won the NL MVP in 2012. Posey is one of the reasons why the Giants have 50 wins this season.

OF - Nick Castellanos, Cincinnati Reds

Castellanos leads the Major League in hitting with a .346 batting average. He also leads the Major League in hits and doubles. Castellanos is having one of the best years of his career and has taken his game to another level.

All-Star Game Predication

Looking at the starters, this is about an evenly matched All-Star game we could see in a long time. But the American League has a slight advantage in the power department with five of the top 10 home run hitters in the starting lineup. Don't sleep on the National League either; they have some power too, and some players that can flat-out hit. It should be a fantastic All-Star Game; I expect the American League to win a close game.
