Basketball is the ultimate game of runs & that was made very clear with the Celtics getting a huge win on the road to start the 2022 NBA Finals.
The Celtics were down 12 going into the fourth & then the game started to change very quickly. The Warriors had no answer to stop the after building a lead for much of the game.
Steph Curry finished with a game high 34 points doing much of his damage in the first quarter which saw him score 21 on 6-9 from three. Curry didn't score in the second quarter & seemed to lose some of the flow he was in picking up his third foul before the half.
Celtics connected on 9-12 from three in the fourth quarter to pull away with the 120-108 win.
Tatum did't have his best performance (3-17FG) finishing with just 12 points but impacted the game in other areas getting 13 assist along with 5 rebounds.
But this game belonged to Al Horford & Jaylen Brown. Horford finished the game with 26 points making 6-8 from the three. Brown showed great poise scoring when needed finishing the game with 24points, 7 rebounds & 5 assist. It was a balanced scoring attack as Derrick White off the bench scored 21 points & Marcus Smart in addition to his solid defense scored 18.
This is only one game as this series will resume on Sunday for Game 2.
