Show Me the Money Jerry Jeudy

Just three years ago, the Denver Broncos selected Jerry Jeudy with the 15th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. After his impressive stint at Alabama, everything was indicating that he would become a star once he'd step foot in the NFL.

Unfortunately for Jeudy, between injuries and poor quarterbacks, Jerry hasn't been able to shine.

During his first season he had 856 yards with 52 receptions on 113 targets, very despicable numbers for a first round pick, however, only 59% of his targets and passing yards were considered catchable, the third worst mark, of the league.

In his sophomore year, a sprained ankle sideline him until Week 8 and he had just 38 receptions on 56 targets with 467 yards and no touchdowns, the noise of the bust went off.

In 2022 with the arrival of Russell Wilson, expectations were raised, but Jeudy dealt with injuries once again.

He played over 60% of the snaps in just 11 games, yet Jeudy impressed tremendously when healthy.

In just ten complete games, he was WR 22 and fell just 28 shy of his first 1,000-yard season with just 100 targets. Even with the poor performance of the Broncos and Russell Wilson, Jeudy would have been a top 12 receiver in 2022 had he not been injured:

Setting career highs in YPRR (2.26, 13), TPRR (23.3%, 29) and FPG (WR21), Jeudy averaged 78.7 YPG and 17.0 FPG. No player scored more PPR fantasy points with less than 75% overall path participation than Jeudy. He also finished 13th in target rate per road race (23%).

In Jeudy's last six games: 25% target percentage and finished fifth in overall receiving turnovers. From Week 10 onward, the Broncos' wide receiver led the NFL in rushing yards on the road (2.71). He also had six receiving touchdowns, including three against Kansas City.

Jeudy's best is most likely yet to come, Wilson can't play worse than in 2022. Sutton could be in a trade, Tim Patrick is coming off a torn ACL and KJ Hamler can never stabilize healthy.

Jeudy's only real competition is second-round rookie Marvin Mims, whom the Broncos selected with their first draft pick in the Sean Payton era.
